Madam Faziyah binti Ismail is our charismatic Head of the English Panel, a position which she has held for over 5 years. She is the glue that holds the English team together.

Madam Faziyah began her schooling at SK Bukit Puteri and later, SMK Dato’ Harun, Tanjung Karang. She then furthered her studies, majoring in TESL at Universiti Perguruan Sultan Idris (UPSI). After graduating, she was posted to SMKAP in 2009.

Her motto in life is “Life is what you make of it!”

FARAH

Madam Farah Hasnoor binti Jaafar, one the most senior English teachers in SMKAP has been teaching here since 2002. She is also one of the key figures in the examination unit, constantly reminding fellow teachers to key in the examination results before its due date.

Madam Farah went to a few primary schools – beginning with SK Kg. Raja, later SR Tg. Mahmud, Besut and finally SK Pusat Chabang Tiga in Kuala Terengganu. She attended the Mara Junior Science College (MRSM) in Kuala Terengganu during her secondary years. She did her degree in TESL in a twinning course between Maktab Perguruan Ilmu Khas (MPIK) and University of Exeter in the United Kingdom.

AZLIN

Madam Azlin binti Mohamad, or fondly known as Teacher Lin by the students, is a dedicated English teacher and having worked here since 2005, is a senior English teacher in SMKAP. Currently, she exclusively teaches the pre-university classes here.

Madam Azlin received her early education at SRK Perempuan Durian Daun, Melaka. She continued her studies at Malaca Girls’ High School. She had had her tertiary education at three different institutions; Maktab Perguruan Lembah Pantai, Universiti Malaya and Universiti Putra Malaysia. She has a major in English and a minor in literature.

Before she started working in SMKAP, she had been posted in 5 different schools. Her first workplace was SRJK(C) Chung San in Negeri Sembilan, followed by SRK Convent in Seremban, SK Bukit Ridan Muadzam Shah, SK Seri Bandar in Melaka, and finally SK Muadzam Shah.

Her motto is “Being positive is a negative situation is not naive, it’s leadership”

SAFIEZAL

Kind, caring and friendly towards the student, Mr Safeizal bin Baharom is one of the students’ favourite and respected teachers in SMKAP. Despite not being an English optionist, his long experience in teaching the subject makes him as good as any English teacher.

He started his education at SK Dato Bandar Rasah in Seremban but afterwards transferred to SK Ulu Tiram, Johor. After finishing his primary education, he continued his studies at SMK Ulu Tiram. He later transferred to SMK Kemumin, Kelantan and eventually went to MRSM Kuantan where he finished his secondary school education. He continued his tertiary education at 3 different institutions; Kolej MARA Kulim, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia and IPDA. At university, he did a major in Polymer Technology with a minor in Management. He took a Post-Degree Teaching Course (KPLI) for a major in Science and a minor in invention.

He started his career as a teacher in the year 2004. The first school where he taught was SMK Kemayan for 1 year before transferring to SMK Agama Pahang in 2005 where he remains teaching until now.

Fitting with his motto which he applies in life: “Never crack under pressure”, he always reminds his students to keep calm even under the most difficult situation. We love him like our own father.

NAJIB

Mr Ahmad Najib bin Azmi has been teaching in SMKAP since 2013. SMKAP is the second school in which he is teaching following a 4 year experience in SMK Tekek, Pulau Tioman.

Mr Najib went to SR Ahmad and later, SMA Al-Attas, both of which in his hometown Pekan. He furthered his studies in TESL in a twinning course between Intitut Perguruan Bahasa-bahasa Antarabangsa (IPBA) and the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

“Be the best in everything you do” is his motto in life. He hopes to make English as fun and accessible to everyone and that all his students can make English as a part of their life.

ALIF

One of our favourite English teachers in SMKAP is Mr Abdul Alif bin Sulaiman. He began his tenure in SMKAP since 2015 and teaches forms 1 through 3.

Sir Alif, as he is called by his students, started his education at SK Palong 7 in Negeri Sembilan and later, he continued his studies at SMK Palong 7. After finishing high school, he was offered to further his studies at Universiti Perguruan Sultan Idris (UPSI) where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL).

Not long after graduating, Sir Alif was posted to SMKAP. Sir Alif’s motto in life is “Keep your face always towards sunshine and shadows will fall behind you”.

At a glance, Miss Nurul Amalina binti Mohd Khir could easily be mistaken as one of the pre-university students here in SMKAP. Working in SMKAP since May 2017, Miss Amalina is the youngest and newest English teacher in our school.

She started her education at SK Taman Segar which is located in Kuala Lumpur and her secondary school was MRSM Kuala Kubu Bharu. She had her tertiary education at UPSI where she did a major is Teaching English as Second Language (TESL) and a minor in literature. She was posted to SMKAP not long after she finished her degree.

“Life is short. Smile while you have teeth” is her motto. Miss Amalina hopes that everything and everyone moves towards positivity. She also wishes that she can be a better, more skillful, creative and alert teacher. She hopes all of the students in SMKAP will have positive mindset and high interest to learn English as well as to be confident to converse and write in English.
